kinda bad design

the sony ericsson xperia x10 is a good phone and I would have recommend people to buy it if it wasn't for its design. It is so thick that it hardly fits inside my friend's pocket when he bought it. Currently a new phone called sony ericsson xperia arc is being made and will come out in 3 months. It is most probably an improvement to this phone as it is a lot thinner  at 8.7mm and has much better functions.

This picture shows the hot water control knob on the bathroom sink in a fancy hotel. You can tell it's a fancy hotel because it has a marble sink and designer knobs. Unfortunately, the designer didn't have people try to turn the knobs with soap on their hands because the knobs are about as smooth as glass and almost impossible to turn. This is an example of something being designed a certain way because it looks good rather than because it works well.

A suggestion is to make an extra axle to the knob so that it would be easier to turn it even with soapy hands
